Cockney Rhyme second at Kempton

19 Nov 2011

Cockney Rhyme, a filly that is getting better with each race, was in a good form Friday 18th of November, when shortly beaten in a rather strong 1m maiden at Kempton. She had an official rating of 78 and looked very well treated under bottom weight, therefore was sent off second favourite. The filly was ridden for the first time by a very promising Swedish apprentice Nicole Nordblad, though they had to sit and suffer for a few strides when short of room once in line for home. Switched inside, Cockney Rhyme took a narrow advantage only to be worried out of it near the line. She should be an exciting horse to follow at her 3 year old season next year! To watch the race in full, please click here.
