Na Zdorovie wins at Chester

20 Aug 2011

Na Zdorovie ran out a popular winner of the 7f maiden at Chester on Saturday to provide Barry Hills with a final winner. The filly also captured a £10,000 Racing Post Yearling Bonus for her owner, Mette Campbell-Andenaes, who owns a significant stake in her sire, Cockney Rebel.
Na Zdorovie is the second winner in three days for Anglo-Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Cockney Rebel, who has been represented by five first-crop winners overall in Britain and Ireland.
Bred by Phil Cunningham, she is a three-parts sister to this season's 2,000 Guineas fourth Slim Shadey (by Val Royal) and out of Vino Veritas, a placed half-sister to Hong Kong superstar Bullish Luck. She was unsold at 9,500gns at last year's Tattersalls December Yearling Sale, having been purchased by Hyphen Bloodstock for 6,000gns as a foal.
